About
Established in 1969, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) is South Korea’s foremost national art institution. While the institution maintains branches in Gwacheon, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Deoksugung, and Cheongju, its flagship Seoul branch (opened in 2013) serves as a global contemporary cultural hub integrating traditional Korean courtyard architecture with modern gallery spaces.
