Lê Bá Đảng Estate & Authentication: Universal legatee of Lebadang’s moral and intellectual property rights, authorized to grant reproduction, exhibition, and commercial rights. He performs official expert evaluations and authentications for auction houses and private collectors worldwide.
Museum Directorship & Curation: Artistic Director of the Lebadang Memory Space in Huế, Vietnam (since 2019). In 2015, he co-organized with Myshu Lebadang a major donation of works on paper to the Cernuschi Museum in Paris.
Publications & Monographic Studies: Editor and director of the definitive bilingual monograph Lebadang 1921–2015 (Éditions lelivredart, 2022) and Genesis (2018), a facsimile edition of 46 India ink drawings from 1960.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1974–1980: Formative years in visual arts and art history at École Municipale Édouard-Manet (Gennevilliers) and Académie de la Grande-Chaumière (Paris); early analog photography and black-and-white printmaking.
1980–1991: Figurative oil paintings exploring bodies from an overhead perspective, color fields, and text-titles examining themes of appearance, disappearance, difference, and repetition.
1991–1993: Etchings and lithography at Atelier Babette Pons. Developed a signature technique of metal oxidation (copper, steel, zinc) using tape-masking, iron perchloride, and nitric acid washes with multi-material structural assemblages.
1993–1994: Acid drawings with iron perchloride and mold on paper, capturing decomposition and ephemerality through documentary photography.
1993–1995: Photographic body of work on the organic inspired by Georges Bataille, exploring an eroticism of bodies through overhead angles, blur, overexposure, and E6-C41 cross-processing.
1995–2003: Experimental video, found footage, mashups, and interactive Macromedia Flash animations utilizing ActionScript.
2003–2010: Series of 25 interactive animations grounded in fragmentation and chance, created after the cinematic works of directors including Hitchcock, Kubrick, Lynch, Marker, Nolan, and Tarkovsky/Zvyagintsev.
2014–2022: Return to surface organization and fragmentation through oil paintings inspired by Caravaggio and Velázquez, alongside digital paintings inspired by Géricault (The Raft of the Medusa) and Titian (The Crowning with Thorns).
2017: Condensed cinematic sequences of David Lynch’s Lost Highway (1 frame per shot) and Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water (2 seconds per shot).
2020–2021: Film mashup projects based on works by Dario Argento, Alfred Hitchcock, Aki Kaurismäki, and Takeshi Kitano.
2023: Digital paintings inspired by Édouard Manet’s Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe.
2024: Digital paintings inspired by Lionello Spada’s Cain and Abel.

Luc HO is a French visual artist, photographer, videographer, and the universal legatee of the moral and property rights of renowned modern Vietnamese artist Lê Bá Đảng (Lebadang). Trained in 16/35 mm cinematography at the École nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière and in digital video at Gobelins - École de l’image, he has spent decades developing innovative creative processes that merge photography, painting, digital media, and cinema.
Holding exclusive legal authority over Lebadang's estate, he manages all moral, intellectual, and commercial rights associated with the master's work, including reproductions and international exhibitions. Alongside his studio practice, he provides authoritative expertise and appraisals for leading auction houses and private collectors globally, working tirelessly to promote and preserve Vietnamese modern art on the international stage.
