Doan Xuan Tung (b. 1980, Hanoi, Vietnam) is a contemporary Vietnamese artist known for his distinctive visual language rooted in cultural memory and traditional narratives. He graduated from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, where he developed a strong academic foundation combined with a modern artistic perspective.
His work draws deeply from Vietnamese folklore, historical references, and everyday life, expressed through symbolic imagery and carefully structured compositions. By reinterpreting traditional themes within a contemporary framework, he creates a dialogue between past and present.
Tung’s works have been exhibited in galleries and art spaces across Vietnam and internationally, and are held in private collections. His practice is recognized for its ability to translate cultural heritage into compelling contemporary expressions.
