Having everything, owning nothing

Description
This painting depicts an imagined encounter between the Vietnamese wandering monk Minh Tue and Forrest Gump, a cinematic character I have long admired.
Both are figures who spent their lives without pursuing material wealth or fame, yet are deeply admired by many. On their journeys, they witnessed vast, magnificent landscapes.
Two small figures walk across a vast, sunlit highland. Towering golden mountains rise through dramatic clouds and mist, rendered in bold, expressive brushwork. The landscape is overwhelming, yet the human presence is light and free.
The philosophy behind the work is: Having everything, owning nothing
