‰ÛÏThe vortex within‰ is after a personal experience of the artist but probably many people can resonate. It portrays her personal battle with chronic insomnia and depression, a visceral representation of the emptiness and despair that can consume the soul. There were days she felt as if there was a vortex relentlessly pulling her down the abyss. This is a poignant reminder of the darkness inherent within us all, and we never know when it will swallow us or the people that we hold dear, so it‰۪s important to acknowledge it so we can become the lifeline, to ourselves and those we love.
