Khanh Linh masterfully combines eggshell inlay, sharply defined geometric forms, and striking contrasts to depict a jazz band immersed in performance beneath the stage lights of a nightclub. The movement of music, the resonance of horns, and the rhythm of instruments seem to emerge through every layer of lacquer and the deliberately orchestrated cracks in the eggshell inlay. The result is an atmosphere that feels liberated and sophisticated, while remaining deeply rooted in the distinctive material tradition of Vietnamese lacquer art.
